Mr. Courtney L. Meier, Ph.D.
Department of Ecology &
Evolutionary Biology
Univ. of Colorado at Boulder
ABOUT ME:
I finished a Ph.D. in Ecology in Dr. William Bowman's lab at the University of Colorado at Boulder in spring 2008. I am generally interested in species' effects on ecosystem processes, as well as the effects of species diversity on ecosystem function. I use an alpine ecosystem on Niwot Ridge, CO, as a model system for study. Niwot Ridge is an ideal research location, as it is part of the National Science Foundation's Long Term Ecological Research network, is associated with the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research in Boulder, and has onsite research facilities at the University of Colorado's Mountain Research Station.
