HE new year looks like it will shape up to be a big one. For starters, I am looking forward to the year of the Dragon. That most mythical of creatures, the wily, the wicked, the powerful and fiery – and also my Chinese Zodiac sign. Clearly, I inherited all of these character traits from the Dragon who no doubt watched over me when I was born 36 years ago. I am also anticipating that some time this year, who knows exactly when, Kieran will decide to stop crapping his pants. This, I can tell you, will be a transformative event. I simply cannot wait for the day when my morning collection of experiences ceases to involve another human's faeces. As much as I love Kieran, I simply have never grown to love the waste products that his bowels produce on a semi-regular basis. I am sure the year will also hold many other surprises, so here's to hoping that the majority of them are pleasant!
